Sam has performed since the age of 10 and has always had a passion for performance and entertainment. Throughout his childhood, adolescence and early adulthood, Sam performed in a number of shows with a range of different theatre companies including The Portsmouth Players.

Sam graduated from the University of Winchester with a first class Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Drama in 2017. The course trained him in both the practical and theoretical aspects of drama and performance. Following this, he decided to pursue his love of teaching, completing a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in 2018. Since 2018, Sam has been a primary classroom teacher. He currently teaches at Purbrook Junior School where he has been Music and Drama lead since 2019. In addition, he taught drama at Portchester Youth Theatre and School of Performing Arts between 2014 and 2022. He previously taught drama at Centre Stage Academy of Theatre Arts for six years.

Sam has always believed that his role as a teacher has encapsulated his love of performing as everyday involves him standing up in front of children and putting on a show. He has wanted to open his own performing arts company for a number of years so that he can share his expertise, experience and love of performance to as many young people as possible. He is thrilled to finally be able to open Performers Theatre Company to offer exciting and engaging performance opportunities to all.
