Shine is an inspiring six-part mini-series following 9-year-old Joshua Evans, a talented and determined boy from a council estate who dreams of performing on the West End. Facing bullying at school, self-doubt, and the challenges of growing up without a father figure, Joshua discovers the joy and support of the performing arts when he joins Performers Theatre Company.
With the encouragement of his mother, sister, and new friends, Joshua navigates auditions, rehearsals, and his first lead role, culminating in a breakthrough performance that opens the door to a prestigious drama school and a bright future in theatre.
Casting is now open and filming will commence in August 2026.
